Resumo: Totally edentulous rehabilitation with dental implants is a great contribution from Dentistry to improve people s life quality, mainly elderly people. Because of life expectation raise, reliability of procedures and development of materials and Implantology techniques, the choice of this kind of treatment is growing. The purpose of this retrospective clinical study was to evaluate one piece implants used to rehabilitate mandibles with immediate loading, verifying the implant and prosthetic success and the condition of soft-tissue around implants. In addition there will be a comparison of two techniques for the installation of these implants. 27 patients (13 female and 14 male), between 46 and 73 years old, were rehabilitated by the author, using immediate loading with one piece implants. To evaluate the prosthesis, was verified the screw access position of distal implants, screw loosing tight or screw fracture. The implants were evaluated individually using a probing depth. Was observed these following clinical parameters: plaque presence; blooding tendency of periimplants tissues; suppuration; peri-implant pocket presence; and radiographic evidence of bone loss.In this retrospective clinical study, 111 implants placed by two different techniques were evaluated. Follow-up examination were performed after 6 months to 5 years and the cumulative survival rate was 99,1%. Only 1 implant was lost, and this was the one case of prosthesis substitution, 96,29% of prosthesis remained in function. The peri-implant diagnosis shown: 74 healthy implants (66,66%); 29 mucositis (26,12%), 7 peri-implantitis (6,30%) and 1 lost (0,9%).One piece implants used to rehabilitate edentulous mandible with immediate loading proved be a viable alternative of treatment. The implant placing by the free technique was better for prosthetic rehabilitation. One piece implants used in this study presented good conditions of peri-implant healthy.
