Resumo: The present work seeks to raise new considerations about the studies on conflicts of jurisdiction in Pernambuco during the 18th century. In this work, we postulate on the performance of the agents who represented the different parts of the king's governing body. The performance of magistrates, the circulation of ideas and the characteristics of the making of these subjects within the practice of a society of court are observed while we analyze the jurisdictional conflicts to which they took part in the socio-political space of Pernambuco. In this space, the relation between the local powers from the first years of the outside judges was followed by some of the most conflictive chapters of local history. In this context, which involved plots of local powers to maintain their places of privilege, the interests of religious orders and agents of the royal office, there are now quarrels, of which the particularity of the formation stands out. Moreover, it was in this stage that outside judges and clergymen fought at different times in Pernambuco during the first half of the eighteenth century. Our sources of analysis are minutes and letters from the collection of the Torre do Tombo Archive concerning conflicts of jurisdiction involving clerics and magistrates in the first half of the 18th century in Pernambuco, taking into account the dense debate that these groups formed in order to reaffirm their places of power.
