Resumo: Mamona's farelo has potential to be used as an additive in silagem de cana-de-açúcar and na ruminants feed. The objective was to evaluate the effect of silagem de cana-de-açúcar containing detoxified mammal farelo (Ricinus communis L.) in sheep feed, on nutrient consumption and digestibility, water intake, ingestive behavior, serum and ruminal parameters. Foram used five male sheep, without definite race, with a medium weight of 31 Kg, available in a 5 x 5 Latin square layout. Foram tested five levels (0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%) of inclusion of farelo detoxified mamona (MDF) na silagem de cana-de-açúcar. The consumption of nutrients were positively influenced by MDF levels of MDF inclusion in Cana-de-Açúcar silagem, and negatively influenced the digestibility of dry matter, organic matter, crude protein, neutral detergent fiber and non-fibrous carbohydrates. The MDF included in the Sugarcane silage provided a linear increase in the serum concentrations of glucose and magnesium, in addition to influencing the ingestive behavior of the animals, increasing the efficiency of feeding and rumination of MS and efficiency of rumination of the FDN. The MDF favored the rumen environment, maintaining pH values within normal limits and promoted a reduction in the concentrations of NH3 in the rumen fluid. MDF can be used in the diet of sheep, as a sugar cane silage additive and up to 20%.
