Resumo: This dissertation presents the results of a research that was carried out to analyze the orthographic errors in texts produced by students of a class from the initial years of elementary school II in a public school of the municipal network in Venturosa - PE. For its investigative character. We started in 2017 in a 6th grade class, with its end in 2018, when they were already in 7th grade. The first data were collected in the students' spontaneous productions. The errors of the first two productions were analyzed and they were elaborated tables with categories of orthographic errors based on the studies of Cagliari (2009). The most common errors were phonetic transcription: vowel nasalization, intervocabulary junction, among others, which are part of the students' real orthographic difficulties: letter exchange, hypercorrection, misuse of letters, different morphological form. With the analysis of the framework of the errors found, we selected one of the difficulties that is part of the phonetic transcription, nasalization, to be worked on activities that were selected with the intention of studying with the students the most common orthographic errors among them, after the realization of the activities the students wrote a third production, which we analyzed and elaborated a comparative graph between the errors found in the three productions, in which we can verify the evolution of the students in every investigation process.
