The study analyzes the impacts of PRONAF on aspects of the production of families that had access to the program, in the city of Gravatá, State of Pernambuco, using the econometric model of matching Propensity score, IPWRA and MQO. These methods are commonly used in evaluations of public policy impacts, being able to verify the coincidence of social programs on variables of interest, analyzing the treatment group (beneficiaries) and the control group (non-beneficiary). From the analyzes, it was observed that access to PRONAF had positive impacts on all variables of interest, proposed by this study as: value of production, value of production per hectare, value of production per worker and investment. Highlighting the evidence on production value suggesting that PRONAF has increased production considerably compared to the group of non-beneficiaries. The difference can reach R $ 2,282.61. For investment, there was a low capacity of non beneficiaries of the program to invest in their properties. The investment difference between the groups may reach R $ 2,155.55. Finally, there is a need to improve technical assistance services for farmers in the municipality, as well as to hold orientation meetings to better manage property costs. |
