Resumo: |
The worldwide ascension of fashion led to a demand for qualified workforce and made various educations institutions create courses related to clothing and fashion, to qualify professionals for this in-expansion market. In Piauí, only between 2008 and 2016, 06 (six) courses aimed to this area were installed. Among the many existing disciplines in these courses there is the Industrial Pattern Making in Fashion, also called Plain Modeling, which the students of the Technician Course on Clothing of the Teresina Zona Sul campus of Instituto Federal do Piauí (IFPI) show difficulties regarding teaching and learning process, especially in matters of the construction of plain models. Such difficulties are noticed once the students finish the activities, which is made in a mechanical way and can not perceive how the models made will end up forming a garment because they can not visualize it. Considering this, this dissertation has the general objective to develop an Open Educational Resource that make it easier the understanding of Plain Modeling, since the use of Information and Communication Technology, as an aid to the teaching-and-learning process is a constant in the education institutions, besides the fact that students live connected most of their time. Still, in this research, we have as specific objectives: identify the factors that are inhibiting the teaching-and-learning process of the Industrial Confection Modeling; implement an Open Educational Resource as a helping tool to the teaching-and-learning process of the Industrial Confection and Modeling, and evaluate the Open Educational Resource. It is a study of qualitative and quantitative nature, where the results are analyzed in both ways. The collaborative participants of this research were 02 (two) teachers of the Industrial Pattern Making in Fashion of the Technician Course on Clothing of IFPI and 39 (thirty-nine) students of the same course and institution. The setting of the research was the Teresina Zona Sul campus of the Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Piauí, where the course of Clothing is offered. As data collection tools semi-structured interviews and questionnaires were applied, in the first phase, to validate the research problem perceived by the researcher. The second phase corresponds to the implementation of the OER, and in the third, the questionnaire was applied again, to evaluate the resource. The data analysis was made according to each phase of the research and with the intention of testing if the objectives proposed in this research were achieved. The results of the first phase showed the need and the importance of the implementation of an OER to help the teaching-and-learning process of the discipline Industrial Pattern Making in Fashion. Thus, the MODPLAN OER was developed, and then it was evaluated. It was verified that through the results of the evaluations that the resource can help the teaching-learning process of the discipline Industrial Pattern Making in Fashion. |
