Resumo: The contents of physics have offered an inadequate vision of the current picture of this area of the knowledge, their dynamism and including insertion in science and the technology, not only in the courses destined to physicists, but also in those offered as disciplines of support. In the courses of Licentiateship in Physics, the disrespect of the modern and contemporary physics are still more serious, because the teachers who are formed for basic education are neither prepared to act according to new reality nor to take care of toward the lines of direction proposed in the PCN for this discipline. In this work, we have directed the attention for the topical structure of the material, with objective to promote better understanding of the electric, thermal and optic properties of materials from the study of its structural aspects. Thus, this research was carried through with a group of physics licensures from Universidade Federal Rural de Pernambuco - UFRPE. The Theory of the Personal Constructs and the Complex Thought had been chosen as methodological and theoretical basis and the results, collected through writings and the construction of repertory grids, had indicated that the intervention was sufficiently significant. In accordance with carried through the qualitative and quantitative analyses can be concluded that the students had started to use more constructs to compare different materials, and they had successfully established specific relations between the structural aspects of the matter and the macrocospic properties of the materials, as well as between the different properties theirselves.
