Resumo: This research had as its central theme the analysis of Continuing Education offered to the teachers of the Integral Education Program of Pernambuco (PEI) within the scope of the Regional Management of Metropolitan South Education of the Secretary of Education of Pernambuco. The IEP was created through Complementary Law No. 125/2008 and aims to improve the quality of secondary education and qualification for the work of young people in the state public network and is materialized in the Reference Schools of High School. The research was justified by the importance of the relationship between Continuing Education and professional valorization and by a strengthening of the debates on Integral Education that has been gaining prominence in the context of public education policies for and basic education. The objective of the research was the Continuing Education for the teachers of the Integral Education Program and its objective was to analyze the Continuing Education of the teachers of the Pernambuco High School Reference Schools and its relationship with Integral Education from the perspective of teachers and coordinators of the Continuing Education of the Regional Management of Metropolitan-South Education and the Integral Education Program. We used as methodological path the analysis of the Policy Cycle (MAINARDES, 2006). Our methodology consisted of documentary analysis (Complementary Law Nº 125/2008) and semi-structured interviews with the subjects of the research, and for the treatment and interpretation of the data, we used the content analysis technique proposed by Bardin (1977) ). The research data pointed to the absence of a specific Continuing Education for the teachers that are part of the IEP, the training that evidences the logic of results, aiming at raising the educational levels established nationally and locally, in addition Continuing Education is made in a contingent manner, without corresponding to the objective of the Integral Education program, and finally it was clear the existence of two educational networks in operation in the context of the State Secretariat of Education of Pernambuco with differentiated pedagogical proposals, differentiated teacher treatment, time organization and different curricular space and matrices.
