Resumo: The present work was done with the aim of evaluate the nutritional value of the meal obtained with dehydrated silage of Tilapia residue mixed with cassava peelings when used as feed to slow growth broilers. Five isonutritional diets were established to evaluate the effect of levels (0, 8, 16, 24 and 32%) of the alternative feedstuff on performance of 300 male broilers from breed Pesadao during 42 days between 21 to 63 days of age. Two nutritional phases were established each lasting 21 days. The experimental design adopted was in randomized blocks considering initial weight with five treatments and six repetitions totaling 30 units with 10 broilers each. There were evaluated performance, carcass characteristics, weight and yield of viscera and weight and yields of main cuts and the deboning of chest and legs plus thighs were performed. On performance there was evaluated feed consumption, weight gain and feed to gain ratio in each phase. And at age of 63 days two broilers, representing the mean weight of each replicate were slaughtered, carcass and main cut and viscera yields were established. The statistical analysis by ANOVA was done considering the accumulated periods. Dunnet test for mean comparison and regression analysis were performed. The meal obtained from silage of Tilapia residue mixed with cassava peelings may be included at level of 24% in nutritionally scored diets of slow growth broilers with age between 21 and 63 days without affecting animal performance. But, if the aim is maximize animal performance and chest meat yield then the level of 14% inclusion is recommended.
