Resumo: The objective of this study was to evaluate dietary forms and forage palm processing on the consumption, apparent digestibility of nutrients and ingestive behavior of lambs. Thirty-two SPDR ewes (with no defined racial pattern) were used, in randomized blocks, in a 2x2 factorial scheme (2 diet supply forms and 2 types of forage palm processing), with four treatments and eight replicates. The diet was composed of forage palm (40%), triton hay (30%), soybean meal (15%), milled corn (12.5%), mineral mix (1.5%) and urea ). The treatments consisted of different forms of processing of the forage palm, being the same chopped in the knife or passed in forage machine and different strategies of supply of the diet, being the ingredients supplied separately or in the form of complete mixture The forms of palm processing and strategies Of diet did not influence consumption, whose means were 0.960; 0.870; 0.014; 0.153; 0.364; 0.702; 0.377 and 0.565 kg / day for dry matter, organic matter, ethereal extract, crude protein, corrected neutral detergent fiber, total carbohydrates, non-fibrous and total digestible nutrients, respectively, and the apparent digestibility of the nutrients, whose mean values were 59 , 93; 63.63; 73.87; 70.21; 50.36; 61.94 and 74.27% for dry matter, organic matter, ethereal extract, crude protein, neutral detergent fiber, total and non-fibrous carbohydrates, respectively. Total digestible nutrient content was also similar (mean of 58.46%). The average daily gain was also not influenced, presenting a mean of 0.155g / day. The confinement time also did not differ (average of 66.1 days), same behavior presented by the behavioral variables evaluated. It is recommended that the food strategy be the one that best suits the management of the production system.
