Resumo: The proposal of a teaching approach that includes discussions about the interactions science, technology and society (STS) and its implications has been gaining increasing interest and emphasis on education at different levels of education. Nevertheless, research has shown that some teachers are teaching concepts still marked by the character transmissive and memorization of information, not paying attention to approaches that consider aspects CTS. The concept of science as much as in Basic Education in Higher shown distorted. Considering the importance of a proper understanding of the nature of scientific knowledge in academia and the need to highlight and (re) learn the views of teachers on distorted scientific work, then to problematize them and from a process of awareness can change them we propose in this qualitative research study: greater familiarity with the theoretical and methodological aspects that guide the teaching of science in STS perspective, seeking to contribute to shifting conceptions about science and technology in education of undergraduates and to construct an action innovative teaching. Our research question was to examine how the inclusion of the theme "Approaches education from CTS" may contribute to possible changes of the views of undergraduates on CTS and the design of an innovative teaching activities. Research will target public students in 8th period Bachelor of Chemistry (CLQ) Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (UFRPE), within the discipline Instrumentation for the Teaching of Chemistry I. The methodological approach consisted of two steps: an exploratory aimed at identifying the conceptions of undergraduates on CTS and their interrelations, and a second stage consists of the implementation of the training process. Results showed evidence of changes in the design of undergraduates, and appropriations of discourse advocated by the STS perspective for teaching chemistry through dialogic processes of expansion and contraction. These changes aligned to the discussion of the theoretical and methodological aspects in the development of CTS approaches were reflected in the lesson plans developed and contributed to the construction of an innovative pedagogical didactic action in relation to the prospects of traditional education.
