Resumo: |
This research has an interdisciplinary character, being based mainly in the areas of design, fashion, social sciences and anthropology, in order to amplify the understanding of the significant process of consumption of clothing-fashion. The objective of this study was to understand how fashion-clothing consumption is associated with emotional experiences, including emotions from the lenses of anthropology of emotions (KOURY, 2006). We use the categories of favorite and lean clothing (ROCHA, 2009) to investigate the emotions associated and evoked through clothing-fashion. For that, a corpus was defined as women between 35-44 years of age, living in the city of Recife and perceiving themselves as active consumers / interested in fashion. A qualitative research was developed with in-depth interviews and participant observation with ten women, resulting in narratives that exposed the complexity of fashion and consumption phenomena, and even more, the idea that the consumption of clothing-fashion is strictly related the emotional experiences. The evocation of a memory, an emotion, the creation of an identity or any other emotions, are direct results of the consumption of clothing-fashion and, at the same time, reflect cultural aspects rooted in our social constitution. |
