Resumo: With the insertion of new Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in the contemporary social context, there are new and challenging obstacles to be surmounted by Professor of Biology in their daily teaching practice in the classroom. This context ultimately stimulate professional education to adapt to these new paradigms arising from the social environment in order to pedagogical practice be in consonance with current social demands, approaching thus, the classroom student context. In this manner, the school tends to every day more opt for a pedagogical approach focused on the complex paradigm of thought, articulating the different areas of knowledge in the construction of most faithful knowledge to the real facts of nature and society, combining this perspective of thought with resource usage and more attractive and dynamic teaching strategies for students, as in the case of using the medical series House MD. In this bias, this study busied herself qualitatively investigate the possibilities of development and educational viability of a Didactic Sequence guided by the complexity of thought and the use of the episode "Sex Kills" present in the medical series House MD. as potentiation resource of the teaching-learning process, through a process of the Practical Action Research conducted with 20 undergraduate 7th attending the course Biology Teaching Stage 3, during the 7 course of the period of Biological Sciences of the Academic Center of Victoria (CAV), which is linked to the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE). This intervention process occurred in four in-person meetings, weekly, where participants subject were able to discuss about the linear, systemic and complex paradigms, as well as the theoretical constructs of Zabala (1998) for the development of a didactic sequence and the use of medical series as potentiation learning resource. At the last meeting the participants had the opportunity to propose a Joint Teaching Sequence (JTS) glimpsing the possibility of a future application of it in a school setting high school. At the end of the investigative process, we come to some conclusions as the fact that the complex thinking have proved viable as a didactic sequence formulation framework, as well as the use of the episode "Sex Kills" of the medical series House MD. is favorable to the potentiation of learning. Also, the proposed Joint Didactic Sequence of underlicentiate was considered satisfactory in terms of viability and educational potential.
