Resumo: This dissertation goal is to study the building and historic places in the city of Santos, where the tourists essencial search is the beach. In Santos this reality is being improved through historic Historic Preservation of Buildings. Thus, the city offers a mixture of culture and beaches. Today it is under a revitalization process, being done by the Alegra Centro Project that stimulates the local economy and the touristic offer in its central area, acting as a key-force for the municipality development.
