Resumo: |
Young students are the central object of educational action. During elementary and high school, the school is the place where they spend the most time of their lives, especially those who have better financial conditions. Investigating the perception of young students from two private schools of high socioeconomic status regarding the role of school education in their formation, its relationship with knowledge and how their formation can contribute to society is what we propose with this research. In two schools in the expanded center of the city of São Paulo, students from the 8th and 9th grades of elementary school; and, 1st and 2nd year of high school, answered our questions about their perceptions. We analyze school culture through Forquin; the school curriculum and the purpose of the school with Libâneo and Young; Mizukami's pedagogical approaches; and, the development of learning, especially among teenagers, in the light of Wallonian theory. From the analysis of their answers, we could see what these young people think about school, in terms of infrastructure, the type of knowledge they learn, how they learn, and the relationships developed in the school environment. |
