This thesis presents the result of the influence analysis of the process parameters of GMAW welding (tension, current intensity, welding velocity, cooling time, heat input) in the weld bead geometry (width, bead reinforcement, penetration and width of HAZ) in a top joint, performed on flat position over MC 700 HSLA steel, with 5 mm thickness. Were made 576 (five hundred seventy-six) specimens in HSLA steel which have been welded with ER 110 S electrode and oxidizing shielding gas (95% AR and 5% O2). Mechanical (traction, impact and hardness) and metallographic (macrographs and micrographs) essays were realized, as well as visual and distortion trials on the bodies of proof. The data obtained from the essays were analyzed statistically, including with the assistance of the software provided by JWSE, for interpret and calculate the weld bead of the joints made. As a result of the research, there is the statistical indication of the parameters influence of the welding process and the correction of the joint geometry for the effectiveness of the studied parameters and its comproved influences |
