The poetic experience and the process of creation taken as poetic referent in lyrics of metasongs written by Chico Buarque is the object of this study, whose main objective is to analyze and verify the way in which these elements are approached by the lyrical subject. This study is justified by the lack of academic research on the subject. Michel Collot's literary landscape theory (1989, 1997, 2004, 2013a, 2013b), which follows the line of French-based thematic criticism, supports this research in that it relates the phenomenon of perception to poety and provides theoretical elements for the analysis of the process of poetic creation. The corpus of analysis is constituted by twenty songs by Chico Buarque that were selected throughout his poetic production for devoting special attention to the proposed theme. As for the methodology, the research is explanatory, bibliographical and qualitative. At the end of the work it was verified that the author approaches in different ways the question of the poetic experience and the poetic referent in different moments of his songs. In addition, the intimate relationship between poetic experience and love in Chico Buarque's metasongs was verified. |
