The application of technologies to automate a company's internal logistics processes is an efficient strategy to reduce operating costs, improve the quality of services, increase the overall efficiency of the installation and consequently raise the level of competitiveness in the operating segment through agility in deliveries with a high standard of excellence. Thus, the objective of this work is to carry out the design of an automated logistics system involving the movement, storage and management of packaged products to be shipped later in a furniture industry, using the project development methodology proposed by Pahl et al. (2005). In this work, the four stages of this methodology were applied, that is, the clarification of the project (Phase I), the conceptual project (Phase II), the preliminary project (Phase III) and the detailed project (Phase IV). The application of this methodology allowed the elaboration of a list of requirements, obtaining and evaluating the solution variants, detailing the constructive structure of the automated system and presenting the detailed project of an automated logistics system based on the technologies of Industry 4.0 and Logistics 4.0 that met the established requirements. for the project. The performance of the logistics system design was evaluated through computer simulation in the Plant Simulation software to verify the compliance with the design requirements, determine the number of conveyors and the warehouse capacity. After that, a comparison was made between the designed logistic system and the current production process. In this way, through the results of the computer simulation, it was found that the proposed project has great potential to contribute to the growth of the company, as it will increase the internal logistics capacity and storage of palletized products, eliminating the need for employees involved in the activities of transport, location and separation of products to be shipped and mainly will promote high efficiency in the traceability of products during logistical operations. |
