This essay was proposed having the purpose of extending the discussions about the non fiction or reality literature. Thus, the main goal of this research consists of analysing the construction of the novel-reporting or non fiction novels such as 808, by Laurentino Gomes; Abusado, by Caco Barcellos, and Olga, by Fernando Morais. The corpus was selected aiming at gathering important works in the cultural scenery of the country and showing important characteristics of the literary journalism. The study, from bibliographic nature and also having a comparative-analytical origin, is based on the thesis of Eduardo Belo, Edvaldo Pereira Lima, Felipe Pena, Tom Wolfe and Terry Eagleton, among other researches from the two fields here related: journalism and literature
