Resumo: Networks of urban infrastructure can present nonconformities, which causes interruption or reduction in the level of service provided to its users. In many cities, these services do not cater adequately to the population due to deterioration of its components or its overuse. The inadequacy of these services is because of the need to optimize their functioning through mechanisms that help managers to monitor and manage, more efficiently, networks and infrastructure components. This paper aims to propose the overall development of an information system that can be applied to networks of urban infrastructure and also building. Initially it was a diagnosis of the current system of information for network management of urban infrastructure. In a second step, was developed to characterize the operational information system applied to networks of urban infrastructure and land, and eventually was made the development of an information system for managing network infrastructure, which was used in Federal Institute of South-Rio Grande, Campus Step Fund, as part of its validation study for. Interviews and document analysis for the diagnosis, which had resulted in the form of control is performed manually for storing information related to networks identified in the institute. The characterization was performed preparation of a questionnaire to get the results of all the elements that make up the networks, presenting its functionalities, identifying their problems and demands. This survey was the basis for the process of feeding the data and development of the information system that provided better operationalization, maintaining security and integrity of information. The information system aims to facilitate the storage of data, flexibility in the process of registering and reporting, facilitating and contributing to its handling.
