Resumo: Along the history, literature has been subject of many debates and studies of modifications of the structure of the language. The growth of the media related to mass culture and the narrow connection with the universe of literature provoke distinct changes in the process of reorganization of the literary language .This survey shows a link between two specific languages, the letters (literature) and the image (comics). In PEGA PRA KAPUTT! written under the coordination of Jose Guimaraes with Moacir Scliar, Luis Fernando Verissimo and Edgar Vasques‟ collaboration, was elaborated in a certain historical moment, in which emphasizes a repressive process of the government of that time, in a collaborative work of four authors was established the coexistence of two sort of languages, (verbal and visual), in a humoristic manner they forge in literature an instrument of political contestation. In this sense, PEGA PRA KAPUTT!, will be studied in some aspects which make it one of the first literal work of the military dictatorship, the collaboration of four authors in two medias, with a possible common political accent: the contestation of the repressive power of the bureaucratic State. Literature, in a way, challenges the historical context that involves author-work-reader and it uses the language as a powerful tool to show in PEGA PRA KAPUTT! what the authors have done. It is expected with this work that it can collaborate to form different point of views in Jose Guimaraes‟ work and the interpretation of the historical context of the military dictatorship
