Resumo: | This study aimed to evaluate the influence of phosphorus levels on vegetative growth, the duration of the cycle, production and fruit quality of banana 'Prata Anã' and 'Maçã' at conditions of São Manuel-SP. The first agricultural cycle of the cultivars was evaluated separately. The experiment was conducted in a completely randomized design with six treatments (0, 40, 60, 80, 100 and 120 kg P2O5 ha-1) and seven repetitions. For post-harvest analysis were used five replicates per treatment. At the time of inflorescence emission of cultivars, the vegetative growth was evaluated. Also were determined the production cycle length of the plants and agronomic performance. The physico-chemical and chemical characteristics of green fruits evaluated were moisture content, dry matter, total sugar, reducing sugar, starch, macro and micronutrients. At the ripe banana were determined firmness, peel color, pH, titratable acidity, soluble solids, maturation index (Ratio) and reducing sugars. In 'Prata Anã' banana the best agronomic performance was achieved with doses above the recommended for cultivation in the state of São Paulo, 40 kg ha-1 P2O5, while the cv. Maçã optimal doses were similar to the recommendation. In green fruit cv. Prata Anã, the greater the amount of phosphate fertilizer, the higher the calcium and phosphorus contents. For potassium and sulfur there was a quadratic increase as a function of increasing doses of P2O5, reaching maximum values at doses of 56 and 38 kg ha-1 P2O5, respectively. Regarding the content of micronutrients, only iron was changed. Green fruits of 'Maçã' banana shown a quadratic variation in the reducing sugar content, the maximum values reached at the dose of 47 kg ha-1 P2O5. However, the P has no effect in the moisture content, dry matter, total sugar and starch. The content of phosphorus, calcium and magnesium in fruits increased up to doses ... |
