This study aims to make a critical analysis of academic supervision stage, its role in the training of students and the need to establish a dialogue between the three subjects involved in this process: student / trainee - field supervisor - academic supervisor, emphasizing the new challenges presented to the profession in a broad perspective of performance and addressing questions posed to the development of conscious practice and effective, based on a qualified education. This theoretical construct appears as an analytical and critical, qualitative analysis procedure as from the field of research, which is the University Center Ant / MG, in which took part as subjects of research were the 16 students of the Course Social Services of the 6th and 8th periods of the year 2012, the Course Coordinator, Internship Coordinator, 02 Field Supervisors and Supervisor Academic. Brings up thoughts regarding vocational training aimed at building strategies category forward the aftermaths of the precariousness of higher education and the world of work in the Social Services, specifically, on stage supervisionado. Terá general objective to reflect on the stage supervised, especially the academic supervision, so that we can trace what is their role in the formation of students of Social Work, and identify how the National Internship (ABEPSS/2010) and Resolution 533 (CFESS-CRESS / 2008) has contributed to a better qualification of this curricular activity. The research methodology was systematized in three stages: an exploratory literature on the theme, documentary analysis and field research, conducted through structured interviews. At the end of the research, it was established that the main contributions supervised brings to students, as well as raise the most relevant barriers and ways to overcome them.
