O uso das TICs em sala de aula: a voz dos professores das escolas públicas do Estado de São Paulo

Resumo: Information Technology and Communication (ICT) began its systematically insertion in metropolitan centers, spreading gradually among different social classes, particularly from the twentieth century. This context of Technologies expansion and insertion into society has created new forms of communication, work, transportation, recreation and interpersonal relationships in different social spaces. Amidst this large technological development that characterizes modern society and its different social instances. Is possible to identify a current public policy concern regarding the substantial insertion of ICT in schools. The advance of government projects aiming the computer use as a pedagogical tool, integrated with schools project is evident, thus becomes essential give voice to the protagonist of this change: the teacher. This study investigates the teachers views about ICT in the school environment. How are being incorporated in school and the limits and possibilities of the use of ICTs in the teaching / learning process. The research presented here is of qualitative nature and was held in the city of Piracicaba, State of São Paulo. To this end, were applied 150 questionnaires to São Paulo state high school teachers. Continuously, were conducted semi-structured interviews with a group of 8 directors for deepening on the issues raised by teachers through the questionnaire. The research highlights important issues for the discussion and forwarding measures that seek to support public policies of ICTs insertion in schools. Teachers listed the advantages and disadvantages of ICT use and its insertion process. It was noted that despite the implementation efforts there are still problems related to schools infrastructure, training of teachers and working conditions
