Resumo: Brazil is the third largest producer of fruit, with a production that exceeds 40.0 million tonnes. Among the tropical fruits, stands out from the star fruit because of its taste, aroma and nutritional properties. Nevertheless, there is little information about the nutrition and fertilization rootstock of this plant. Thus, the study aimed to evaluate the influence of boron on growth, mineral composition and nutritional efficiency of star fruit rootstocks. The study was conducted between the months of September 2012 and February 2013, in a production nursery seedlings, located in Taquaritinga, SP. The experimental design was randomized blocks with five doses of boron (B): zero; 1; 2; 3; and 4 mg dm-3 of B, four replications. At 170 days after application of boron were evaluated: plant height, stem diameter and number of leaves. Then the plants were collected, divided into shoot and roots, dried, weighed, ground and determine the content, calculated accumulations, the efficiency of absorption, transport and utilization of macro and micronutrients. All growth parameters evaluated did not respond to the application of boron doses. The accumulation of Ca and Cu in the plant, responded to boron application. Higher doses of boron increased the efficiency of utilization of Ca. From the results, it is concluded that high doses promote low boron content and absorption efficiency for most macro and micronutrients
