Resumo: | We provide conditions on the Jacobian matrix Jf of a C1 map f : S ! Rn in order that f is injective in a convex set S Rn. The rst result states that if Jf (x) is a positivede nite matrix for every x 2 S, then f is injective. The second result says that if Jf (x) is a P-matrix for every x belonging to a n-dimensional closed rectangle S Rn, then f is injective. A third injectivity criterium involving diagonally dominant matrices was also included in the text |
