Resumo: The informational culture is the socio-cultural bases to management moderns once that provides socio-cultural conditions at enhancing and appropriates informational behaviors, as well the use of technologies of information and communication in the organizational process. In that sense, to problematic of the research is: which are theoretical elements and sociocultural aspects linked to behavior practice of the information culture in the trial of competitive intelligence? The efficiency of competitive intelligence inside a organization depends largely how the socio-cultural dimension is structured and articulates its various elements. A perspective more attentive to informational culture increases and adapts to information science, elements of the function of the culture in organizations, for example, the study lines from users, contributes with aspects as values and rituals that affect directly in informational behavior. The approach differs, specifically, to focus on the informational needs of competitive organizations, because it values the socio-cultural characteristics of users of information in organizations of this type. Timely results are admired, because there are no researches of informational culture focused on competitive intelligence to meet the objective of identifying defining elements accordingly. The overall goal of the proposed research to investigate the theoretical elements and socio-cultural aspects linked to the practice of informational culture in competitive intelligence process aimed at establishing guidelines. The methodological procedures follow a qualitative research proposal that is found frequently in most research of organizational culture.
