This work aims to introduce some guidelines to High School students in order to build on third degree polynomial function graphs. It is intended to use basic concepts of limit and derivatives, which are not usually taught at Junior School. The suggested approach outlines the necessity of enlarging and improving the understanding of syllabus that is used by the student with no adequate knowledge of its origin, and occasionally trying to know techniques by heart without understanding them. Thus, we do an analysis of the main de nitions and theorems related to sequences, limit and derivatives. Afterwards, there is the study of function variation and, nally, the proposed guidance to graph construction
