The goal of this dissertation is to contribute to greater understanding and approach to the reality of students of Education for Youth and Adults, the city of Franca-SP, from the perspective of Social Work. The Education for Youth and Adults is a teaching method aimed at people who do not have access to school in regular age, which could not start or complete their studies. In the proposed work, developed between the years 2011 and 2012, seeks to conduct research of socioeconomic and cultural nature of the school population, in order to grasp the actual conditions and possibilities of access that students have had throughout their life course as well as his stay at the school; know the conditions and pedagogical materials developed in this type of education, and finally, building reflections on the performance possibilities of the social worker in the Youth and Adult
