Resumo: Science and technology are present in all sectors of contemporary life and cause severe economic, social and cultural transformations. The science education, from the Science-Tecnhnology-Society-Environment Approach (CTSA), plays an important role when considering the impact of Science and Technology (S&T) in society and especially in cases of environmental damage that largely often happen in the name of development and welfare. Concomitant CTSA education Centered Learning Event (ACE), provides the student contact with facts of real life involving reflections from various fields of knowledge, promote discussion of discussion of scientific issues along with their social, economic, cultural and environmental. The objective of the project was to investigate the conceptions of the relationship between science, technology, society and environment and environmental conservation in students a 3rd year of high school from a centered learning events (ACE). The theme chosen for inclusion in the learning was the environmental impasse that occurs in Bauru, between conservation of Cerrado remnants and the coming of new industries to the district. Preliminary analyzes indicate that the ACE is potentially effective when worked under the CTSA perspective by involving and motivating students
