Resumo: Urea resin or synthetic resin class are obtained by a chemical combination of urea and formaldehyde. These resins are mainly used as adhesive for wood glue phywood, particleboard and other wood products structured. In the industrial production of urea resins are synthesized by, considensing urea and formaldehyde in an aqueous solution by using ammonia as alkali catalyst. This study aimed to synthesize adsorbents with cationic using area-formaldehyde resins was studied with cationic groups, p-aminobenzoic acid, sulfanilic acid and aminoacetic acid with metals, Hg+2, Pb+2, Cd+2, Cu+2 and Zn+2. According to the tests we noticed that the resins were efficient behavior when subjected to the adsorption of the metals studied in this work, when used solutions with higher concentrations. Already in solutions containing low concentrations, all metals showed poor adsorption on the surface of immobilized resins with organic groups. The values obtained from nitrogen levels set in adsorbent resin UF, UF resin + APABZ, UF + ASF and UF = AA were 15.49%, 15.60%, 21.24%, 45,06% and the number of moles the organic group/gran of adsorbent were 5,1x10-5, 4,1x10-3 and 2,1x10-2 respectively
