Resumo: |
The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of thermocycling on the bond strength between the surface of Procera AllCeram (Nobel-Biocare) and the resin cement (Panavia F, Kuraray CO). Nine ceramic blocks were fabricated with dimensions of 5x6x6mm. One of the faces with 5x6mm of each ceramic block was conditioned with a tribochemical silica coating (Rocatec system, Espe) and after it was luted with Panavia F to another identical block made from composite resin (Clearfil AP-X, Kuraray CO) obtained through duplication of the ceramic blocks with addition sílicona impression material (Express, 3M). The nine groups formed by ceramic, cement and composite resin were split up obtained 75 samples with dimensions of 12x1 x1 mm and adhesive surface presenting 1mm2±0,1mm2 of area. The samples were divided into 3 groups (n=25): G1 - stored for 14 days in distilled water at 37°C; G2- thermocycling for a total of 6000 cycles (5°C- 55°C); G3 - thermocycling for a total of 12000 cycles (5°C- 55°C). After conditioned times the samples were fixed with clanoacrilate adhesive at microtensile device and tested ín a universal testing machine (EM/C) at a crosshead speed of 1 mm/min. Data were analysed by ANOVA and Tukey test. The results indicated that the mean values of rupture tension (MPa) of G1 (10. 710 ± 3.54) they didn't differ estatisticaty (p <5%) of G2 (9.019 ± 3.90), however there was significant difference between G1 and G3 (7.280 ± 3.00). lt was possible to conclude that the themocycling reduced the values of bond strength significantly when samples were submitted to 12000 cycles |
