Resumo: | The inclusion of people with disabilities in higher education is an ever growing reality in our country. However, even though there has been a noticeable increase of students under these conditions enrolling in higher education classes, and also the growing attention of researchers on the subject, there is still little knowledge on how to facilitate the enrollment and permanence of these students so they can graduate. To do so, public and institutional actions have been taken guarantee this group of student's rights. The Programa Incluir - Acessibilidade no Ensino Superior [To Include Program - Higher Education Acessibiblity], created in 2005, aims at promoting institutional policies of accessibility in the FIHE (Federal Institutions of Higher Education), in order to favor the academic development of students with disabilities and/or reduced mobility. Among its actions, the creation and consolidation of acessibility centers is found. This research was conducted regardind the FIHE, in order to analyze the actions developed by these accessibility centers, especially regarding the role Psychology plays on behalf of the participation of students with disabilities in higher education settings. The coordinators centers from different FIHE that were benefited by the To Include Program in the year of 2013 participated in this research. This research is hereby presented as a compilation of three distinct and complementary studies, in the form of manuscripts, as well as added text excerpts. The first study aims at describing and overwiew of the educational actions offered to the disable individual, in order to comprehend the relationship established by society in general and the disabled.
