Resumo: |
This investigation is characterized as a case study and a qualitative study with ethnographic approach, whose main purpose is to investigate the autonomous exercise in the learnteaching of languages “Teletandem Institucional Integrado” (TTDii) through: (i) the use of learning strategies by an English learning and (ii) by the influence of the context. For that, it is necessary to understand the concept of autonomy in the learn-teaching field and the context analyzed (TTDii). The TTDii is a modification of the project “Teletandem Brasil: línguas estrangeiras para todos” (TELLES, 2006) that has as one of its principles the learning autonomy. The TTDii is an online language learning tool used at UNESP-IBILCE (Rio Preto) with Brazilian and foreign university students who want to learn the others language. The learning occurs through bilingual synchronous communication and follows rules imposed by the professors who work with TTDii as a part of the curriculum of their disciplines. The learning theory that underlies this study is the Sociocultural by Vygotsky (1994), since the learning occurs through practice communities and involves mediations. This investigation is due to the necessity of promoting learning autonomy and then, follows the contemporary advances. Besides that, there is a gap in the studies of autonomy in TTDii. The corpus analyzed includes the tasks of the context and a specific analyzes about the Brazilian learning actions to contemplate her learning goals and to accomplish her tasks. The results showed that, the learning autonomy was manifested by the use of some strategies: ask questions, change the language and self-evaluation |
