Resumo: | The present research, developed by the postgraduate program in education from Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia-UNESP, Campus de Presidente Prudente, binds to the line of research entitled practical and formative processes in education. The theme addressed by our investigation focuses on manifestations of childhood cultures with television content of children of three classes of an institution of early childhood education (Pre 1 and Pre II) of the municipality of Álvares Machado, São Paulo, and the interpretations and visions of the teachers. Accordingly, our objectives are: to identify children's television content manifestations present in the pre-school context and check the interpretations and visions that teachers have about the relationship child and tv. The theoretical framework that has guided the investigation is based, primarily, on authors of Sociology of childhood and the media. It is a qualitative research whose research method is ethnographic character. To this end, we use the methodological procedures of bibliographic analysis of participant observation and semi-structured interview. The results, as we will see throughout this dissertation, indicate that the children ressignificam the television content, especially those coming from cartoon and manifest through dialogs during classroom activities, with the teachers and with other children. In moments of intervals it was possible to observe the presence of television content during the games, predominantly in the persecution.
