This work aims to contribute to the environmental planning of the Guaiçarinha Stream Watershed, in the Álvares Machado City, São Paulo, Brazil, with the application of a planning proposal that aims to contribute to the identification of the environmental state of the watershed. For this, it was made a literature review of theorical and methodological knowledge of environment planning, watershed management, water resources management, landscape geoecology, and the identification and analysis of the status of Permanent Preservation Areas and various environmental laws, etc. The methodology used methodological conceptions of Rodriguez (1994), Rodriguez and Silva (2013) and Leal (1995), with the completion of the steps Organization, Inventory, Diagnosis, Prognosis and Propositions, including the elaboration of thematic maps and synthesis, using the Geographic Information System (GIS), Global Positioning System (GPS), field work, analysis and systematization of data and information. It is expected that the results and proposals can support environmental planning this watershed by the government and management agencies, including the city hall of Álvares Machado and the Pontal do Paranapanema Watershed Comittee
