Resumo: This work aims at contributing to the translators' work through the development of a Portuguese-French dictionary of terms used in bylaws. This research takes place in the field of Terminology, specifically of Bilingual Terminology, and in order to develop it, we used a bilingual corpus consisting of a subcorpus of bylaws originally written in Portuguese and another one of bylaws originally written in French. From this corpus we extracted the terms studied in our research, and subsequently we established their equivalents in French. All the terminological data in both languages was recorded in forms on the online platform e-Termos. The next step of research was to carry out a survey of the significance relations established between the terms in Portuguese and between the ones in French. Next, we developed a conceptual system with our terms in Portuguese and wrote down our own definitions to these terms. We must point out that the definitions were written just in Portuguese because this is our source language, while French is the language of the equivalents. For this step, first we stored in e-Termos definitional excerpts for each term and synthesized their semanticconceptual traits in synthesis forms. After the study of the main models of definition proposed by experts in Terminology and Terminography, we determined the models that we considered appropriate for the description of the concepts expressed by our terms, and then we wrote the definitions. Based on the data obtained from all those steps and on a study about the translators' needs in relation to bilingual dictionaries, we developed the model of superstructure, macrostructure, microstructure and remissive system of our terminographic work. Then we organized the data in the proposed dictionary. It's important to emphasize that, to the achievement of this research, we had São Paulo Research Foundation's (FAPESP)...
