Resumo: The new coronavirus pandemic – COVID -19, declared by the World Health Organisation (WHO) at the beginning of March 2020 around the world, took the authorities to announce the suspension of classroom lessons and replace it with emergency remote teaching in Brazil. The standardization of the online homework elaborated by the municipal secretary of education (SMED) represented a challenge to the teacher for his teaching activity, depriving him of preparing his school pedagogical practices according to the specificity of the institution’s students. Thereby, this study's purpose is to investigate the planning directions in teachers’ work during remote teaching by interviewing teachers from a municipal school in Iguassu Falls. Therefore we realized a bibliographical, documentary, and field research are related. For the bibliographical research, we elaborated a review of literature about the human being, work, planning, meaning, and perception. For the documentary, we analyzed the concept of planning in the curriculum of the Association of Municipalities of Western Paraná (AMOP). For the field research, we applied a questionnaire and did semistructured and individual interviews with four teachers of a municipal school of Iguassu Falls that taught Portuguese, Math, and Science for remote teaching in 2020. The data made possible the conclusion that even though being difficult during this pandemic period, due to specific working conditions, the direction of planning for the interview presented signs of consonance with the meaning defended in this work, because it was defined as a guide, a Direction to the teaching work e for the organization of the education. They also indicated that the generalization of non-face-to-face tasks without the teacher’s previous consultation provoked a deprived feeling of autonomy, making their class planning process more laborious.
