Resumo: | Cultural heritage encompasses important aspects, such as the collective memory formed by experiences and inventions, thus, its conservation is essential for favoring and public enjoyment of cultural assets. Cultural assets of an intangible nature concern those practices and domains of social life that manifest themselves in knowledge and ways of doing things. Material cultural heritage is, in a way, easier to identify, map, quantify, describe. They are palpable, can be exposed, appreciated, kept, restored, while intangible cultural heritage has a more implicit identification, often being devalued by its own people and, finally, forgotten. Cultural heritage, both material and immaterial, can suffer degradation, which can be generated by human actions, or by nature, or even natural wear and tear due to weathering. Among so many possibilities for degradation and cultural re-signification, considering the thematic focus proposed in this study, dams can be considered among the most impactful, since, as a result of the formation of lakes, large areas are submerged, requiring the relocation of the people who live there. dwelt. Thus, the present study analyzes the importance of conserving material and immaterial cultural heritage along with its territorialities and life experiences in the rural space of the community of São José do Itavó, in the municipality of Itaipulândia, State of Paraná, after the construction of the Itaipu Binacional Hydroelectric Plant. And for that, we used the deductive method and also the exploratory and reflective research. During the research, it was observed that the community of São José do Itavó lost beyond the territory, many of its cultural expressions. It also lost the identity ties built over decades, that is, the flooding caused by the construction of the Itaipu Binacional Hydroelectric Plant triggered the rupture of family ties and the deconstruction of the identity of an entire community. It was also observed that the appropriation of spaces by the interviewees is due to the uniqueness of the subjects and the collectivity, since those who left the place left marks in the space through affection, symbolism and culture and those who still remain in the community have strong sense of loss and nostalgia. The research also showed that the remaining residents of the flooding have objects and photographs that can be rescued and cataloged with the Casa de Memória collection, which will enrich the material available there. |
