Resumo: The objective of the research was to discuss the agricultural crisis and the family succession among the young Lutherans of the microregion of Marechal Candido Rondon (PR). It was sought to trace the difficulties that these young people have in staying in the field in the present conjuncture. For reflection, we used specific literature, as well as other documentary sources made available on the website of the Evangelical Lutheran Confession Church in Brazil (IECLB). The survey also included field surveys involving youth, church ministers and ministers. The research was divided into three chapters. It discussed the history of the Lutheran Church in the country, its identity formation and its involvement with the society where it operates. Faced with the crisis generated in agriculture, the church proposes alternatives. The research discusses the feasibility of alternatives in the field of agricultural modernization in the face of the problem of family succession. The research found that the appeal for living in an urban environment seems to carry more weight than the possibility of maintaining the next generation in the field.
