Resumo: | Land use and occupation directly influence the quality and availability of water resources, whether through accelerated urbanization, suppression of vegetation or agricultural use. The impacts may vary depending on the use without unrestrained removing nutrients without proper maintenance and conservation of the soil and also of water resources, thus compromising the quality and balance of aquatic ecosystems. The present work aims to verify the influence of land use in the Rio Lontra sub-basin, located in the city of Salto do Lontra, PR. For this study, the Environmental Geoindicators methodology was adopted, which was carried out in five stages, namely: data collection, land use mapping, field work, laboratory analysis and, finally, office analysis. It was found in the soil analysis that both the levels of Calcium, Magnesium, Sum of Bases (BS), effective CTC, Aluminum and Manganese were high in all properties analyzed. Through the water analysis, it was observed that the chemical elements Total Arsenic, Total Cadmium, Total Lead and Chemical Oxygen Demand - COD gave good levels in the analyzes performed. The element Copper and Total Chromium showed alterations in the three analyzes with values higher than those recommended by the CONAMA resolution. The results indicate the importance of environmental geoindicators to identify the possible causes and consequences of soil degradation in the Rio Lontra watershed, in addition to being natural causes, they are also caused by human actions, since the properties analyzed are mostly cultivated by man. . From the results of the soil analysis, it was possible to observe some variables with changes that can be harmful to the health of the water and those who consume it. The results presented in this research point to a need for supervision and monitoring in these environmental points of the Rio Lontra watershed, in order to improve both the soil and the water. |
