Resumo: Brazilian students with high abilities/gifted (HA/G) represent a significant portion of the country‘s students; Nonetheless, they still are invisible in the educational system. Among the possible explanations to this scenario, there are myths and stereotypes about these students and also unprepared teachers inside common classrooms to identify potentially typical signs of HA/G in regular students from elementary and high school, forward them to a first process of identification/evaluation from a Special Education skilled teacher who acts in the multifunctional resource classroom (MRC) of the school. The goal of the study is to identify and comprehend which are the high abilities/gifted indicators to be observed/identified on the Elementary and High School students by their teachers. The research was suggested, so, with the meaning to analyze academic articles and Masters dissertations, produced from 2015 to 2021, aiming the contribution so these teachers can identify and forward students with HA/G indicators to a Specialized Educational Service Program (SESP) in MRC and/or another curriculum enrichment programs. As a theoretical methodological basis the study is based on the Gardner‘s and Sternberg‘s theories and is characterized as an exploratory research, state-of-art bibliography and qualitative nature, also based on some legislation documents, which checks it also as an experimental character. Regarding the treatment of the analysis corpus, compound by seven thematic categories that emerged during the reading time course, it was chosen the Bardin‘s Content Analysis (2016). The results show that exist, as well in teachers as undergraduate students, a lack of theorical and practical knowledge with regard the identification process and forwarding students with high abilities/gifted to the (SESP). Therefore, it‘s necessary that the educators have access to this academic education since the basic academic education to their continuing ones during the career. In addition, it‘s also essential that public politics be implemented to the attendance of the students with high abilities/gifted, many of which are provided for by law, so that group of students have access to developing programs of its potential so, besides their own personal fulfillment, they can contribute to their country, specially in the sense of the search and implementation of projects that helps the brazilian population from economic layers marked by the social inequality, which in turn, it‘s generated by the economic difference – the material wealth and the possession of goods – between the social classes.
