Resumo: The present study brings up some reflections about environmental issues and has the goal to analyze the perspectives of students from Professional Education of High School Integrated in Agriculture, in the micro-region of Toledo, related to the implementation of sustainable agroecological practices in this region and what are the possible influences of the economic market related to the interest of the students and their possible occupational inside the current job market. The main problem of the research arises from the following question: How can the Technical Course in Agriculture contribute to the formation of critical people, so that they can stand for themselves in the face of standards of agricultural practices, thinking about environmental issues? The verification of the hypotheses, which answer the guiding question, were given through the application of an online questionnaire, offered to the trainees of two Professional Education schools in the year 2020, situated in the cities of Toledo and Palotina - Paraná. As a result, we found that weaknesses that are beyond the pedagogical process, since the trainees believe they are qualified and competent to operate, providing assistance and orientation focused on the management of natural resources and soil fertility in a sustainable way. However, it is unlikely that them can find occupation in the current job market where they can apply the knowledge learned. Therefore, there is much to be done in relation to understanding environmental issues in the context of the micro-region of Toledo, in order to achieve awareness in relation to the use of natural resources as generating and integrating elements, visualizing a promising future with sustainable development.
