Resumo: This work analyzes the formation of the Art teacher, as well as the teaching of Artistic Education in Paraná during the military dictatorship (1964 to 1985), by having as a parameter the following concerns: the process of constitution of first experiences of teaching art in Brazil, teacher training and school practice, the structuring of training schools for teachers of art in Paraná, the teaching of art practiced in the classroom, in addition to the changes that occurred in legislation during the period under review. seek to know how the formation of art teachers in Paraná took place, raising the documentary sources and research already carried out on the history of its constitution in the state. The theoretical framework is mainly based on the authors Barbosa (2009, 2008) and Osinki (2001). The methodology of this work covers the documentary research carried out in state collections, particularly in the Arquivo Público do Estado do Paraná and on the Arquivo Nacional de Brasilia website. The research is also guided by the legislation concerning produced at national and state level. Likewise, this study makes use of the field research in Colégio Osório Duque Estrada state schools, in city of Diamante do Sul and Wilson Jofre, in Cascavel, examining documents such as Livros Registro de Classe, Livros Atas and others documents that make it possible to elucidate the effective teaching practice of the discipline of Art in schools of the state education network of Paraná. The first chapter discusses the historiography of art education in Brazil, briefly some periods, among them the indigenous art and the art of the beginning of the twentieth century; the second chapter proposes to analyze the periods of the Estado Novo and the military dictatorship in Brazil; the third and final chapter dialogues with the teaching art during the military dictatorship in Brazil, teacher training of artistic education in the same period and concludes with the analysis of the documents found in the aforementioned schools and archives.
