Resumo: | This study aimed to identify and explore collaborative work from the perspective of interdisciplinarity between Physical Education and Science in the school context, with the challenge of awakening children's interest in becoming active adults using cycling. In order to contribute to the reader's understanding of the object of study, the theoretical framework permeates the themes of interdisciplinarity, Physical Education and Science teaching in the school context. A sedentary lifestyle and quality of life are discussed, followed by a brief history of bicycles and being a cyclist (identity), as well as the place of cycling as a content in the Science and Physical Education curriculum in the final years of elementary school, according to the BNCC (National Common Curricular Base) and the CREP (Curriculum of the Paraná State Network). Regarding the research methodology, bibliographical study, focus group and discourse analysis were used. In this sense, we can observe how the theme is of paramount importance when thinking about contemporary and cross-cutting themes that can be worked on based on interdisciplinarity. The teachers participating in this research demonstrated knowledge of the interdisciplinary theme as well as an interest in developing cycling content in the teaching plan of the final years of elementary school. As a result of the present study, the teachers dialogued and developed collaborative lesson plans so that, in practice, they could encourage the use of bicycles and the practice of cycling, aiming at a transition from childhood to adult life. The concepts discussed and analyzed here will be able to base the planning of Science and Physical Education classes, in a way that can promote the students' interest in using the bicycle as a means of physical activity and leisure. In this way, meeting the final objectives of the study, which is to propose referrals that lead Science and Physical Education teachers to develop an interdisciplinary work using the cycling theme and thus encourage, motivate and instigate students to practice the modality inside and outside the environment. school, thus taking advantage of all the benefits of this modality to improve the quality of life. |
