Resumo: The emergence of cooperatives has its roots in solidarity. Studies support its importance for solidarity rural credit cooperatives. This work identified the actions that constitute solidarity in the context of solidarity rural credit cooperatives, as well as the concept of solidarity in this context. The principles of cooperativism proposed by the International Cooperative Alliance (1995), the actions of solidarity economy by Beland (2013) and the ways of solidarity economy by Migliaro (2018) served as a theoretical basis. The data were collected through a structured interview with the directors of the cooperative and the people they indicated, a total of seven people were interviewed. The data were processed using the documentary method developed by Bohnsack from the works of Mannheim (1922), which aims to extract from the qualitative analysis the necessary information for the conclusion of the study. After describing the interviews, the data are classified using the method of analysis and interpretation proposed in this study. The analysis is conducted at three levels: immanent, expressive and documentary. The results show a total of eleven solidarity actions, namely: access to credit, support to basic structures, family financial formation, incentive to create jobs, incentive to save, incentive to local development, social inclusion, intercooperation, sense of belonging and relationship with the community. The study identified three measures not included in previous studies. The concept of solidarity found portrays the struggles of farmers in search of better living conditions, with solidarity conceptualized as people working together in pursuit of a common goal. It should be noted that this common goal initially represented the interest in accessing a financial institution in order to obtain a low-interest loan to improve the families' living conditions.
