Resumo: | Solar energy is a clean and renewable option for energy production and can be used for different purposes such as water heating, lighting, rural energization, water pumping, among others. What is the use of photovoltaic solar energy. In this context, the objective of this work was to evaluate the performance of a drip irrigation system as a function of the use of an amorphous photovoltaic solar pumping system. water, without storage of electricity. The same was installed in the dependencies of the State University of the West of Paraná - Campus Cascavel-PR. Collection of voltage and current generated by the panels of the brand JN40F of Solarterra; ambient temperature, the part relating to the meteorological station of the brand Instrutemp-ITWH 1080; solar irradiation by the pyranometer apparatus brand Kipp & Zonen; and pump flow of the brand Solarjack brand through the flowmeter. The tests were performed on open and partly cloudy days for an in-door drip irrigation system and for the same out door for different times of the day. The results showed that the irrigation system presented better performance in the indoor and outdoor conditions in the autumn season, both for open air days and cloudy days, with CUC and CUC values above 80%. The main conclusion was that the performance variations of the photovoltaic generation system did not influence the performance of the irrigation system.
