Resumo: Presents the research of master degree, which aimed to study the formulation of Prova Brasil statements (questions) of Portuguese Language, 9th grade, the 2013 edition. Therefore, the statements of such test have been analyzed and the results indicate conception of language, production writing and reading quite away, of what is advertised in the National Curriculum Parameters - PCNs (acronym in Portuguese) and even the curriculum guidelines that follow such parameters. It is about previously directed questions, because they follow the stereotype of multiple choice. Such test was applied in two schools in Foz do Iguaçu, Paraná state, to students who would participate in the test edition in 2015. The analysis of the applied material shows that the statements (questions) do not contribute to measure the level of proficiency in regard to this skill. This evidence is also based on the observation that the questions are elaborated without proper objectivity, and therefore, the likely responses may be considered ambiguous. It has followed theoretical basis of linguistics Textual, according to effective dissemination of studies, here in Brazil, by Luiz Antônio Marcuschi and João Wanderley Geraldi, among other authors. It is expected to contribute to the teaching of Portuguese language in primary education.
