Resumo: The increase in the consumption of electric energy grows in proportion to the population increase and with the technological advance, this energy demand is strongly marked by the use of fossil resources, which contribute significantly to the emission of GHG. Brazil, against the world, is a country where most of the electric energy comes from renewable sources, basically hydroelectric. Electricity from hydroelectric power plants is not able to supply the country's current consumption, being necessary, at some times of the year, the use of secondary sources such as thermal power plants, for example. Furthermore, the construction of hydroelectric plants is responsible for irreparable environmental and social impacts, and often, they do not present the estimated efficiency in the project. In this scenario, the generation of photovoltaic solar energy has presented itself as an alternative of great utility and very promising, as it has solar irradiation as its raw material and has low environmental impacts. In the present work, three Consumer Units were evaluated and the necessary dimensioning of the photovoltaic systems was carried out to supply the respective consumptions. The energy generation of the dimensioned and installed PV systems was analyzed for 1 year, in order to ensure that the generation would supply the energy consumption. The results of avoided energy generation, financial savings and CO2 demonstrated that the implementation of this type of energy system is feasible and the popularization in Brazil is promising.
