Resumo: This study aimed to evaluate the agronomic performance of six peanut cultivars in conventional and no-tillage in the Marechal Cândido Rondon city and Tupãssi city in the Paraná State, Brazil. The experimental design was a randomized block with four replications in a split plot. Plots were used in two systems of soil management, the conventional and no-tillage and six peanut cultivars of contrasting growth habit, five prostrate and one erect on the subplots. As for yield components of peanut evaluated the number of plants, plant height, number of malformed pegs, number of pods per plant, thousand grain weight, yield index grains and yield. In assessing soil physical determined: macro and microporosity, total porosity, soil moisture and soil penetration resistance. No significant interaction between system and soil tillage peanut cultivar. For the average of genotypes, direct seeding did not significantly reduce grain yield and yield components studied. The highest yields were obtained by the Virginia type cultivars regardless of the type system of soil management, and in descending order: IAC 503, IAC Caiapó, IAC 213, Runner IAC 886 e Cavalo respectively in the Marechal Cândido Rondon city and Tupãssi city. In the Tupãssi city, grain yield varied only between types of branching of materials having alternating branching cultivars (Virginia) the highest yields. Changes were observed in the physical properties in comparisons among tillage systems only in the topsoil
